Sadly Immigration voice is giving importance to the “ number of posts” rather than “number of valuable posts” .
Some people are more interested to upgrade their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.

I am a 07 filer, got FP notice for Oct 07, got it done, got EADs and APs , renewed them twice. But what about finger printing. Do I need to get it done yearly, if so, I got no notice so far.

Your case is a lil different than mine cause you did your I140 first, got online receipt that was sent with your 485. I am assuming one week later, when you had your PERM hard copy, you sent that along with other docs for your I140. I think you will be fine. You did everything right for the I140 and 485 is dependent on 140.
Me though...my lawyer sent both 140/485 together in the mail, nothing done online. and no perm hard copy was included..just the online approval ETA form, signed by me/employer, along with screen shot af DOLETA approval.
I will definitely keep you updated. I think mine will take longer than most cause on top of everything my file was sent to nebraska instead of texas....so it had/needs to be transfered to texas (NY employer).
Keep updating and if you hear about others (i'm trying to stay in touch with others in similar position), let me know...

If the doctor's office can give you claim codes, fine. Otherwise, you gotta do it yourself. Just submit the invoice copies with a good cover letter (explaining what it is). I did it with my insurance company and it went through smoothly. They treated our immigration medical exams as usual annual physical exams which are fully covered. Immunizations (i.e., vaccinations) are fully covered as well.

1. If you are paying for the GC process, then fire your attorney and get a new one who knows how to port the priority dates.
2. If employer is paying for it, ask them that you would pay for the second I-140.
3. If employer does not agree on either of the choices listed above:
a. File for EB3 I-140
b. Join a new employer and file a new EB2 labor and port your EB3 priority date.
They can't do that they are asking to make a choice .Per them porting eb3 priority date is not possible. I am not sure what are legal issues involved in porting the priority date. I am asked to make a choice either EB3 04 OR eb2 06.

In other words, a US company/individual cannot pay this individual for his/her work. Whether an Indian company is paying his/her cannot be controlled by the US laws. If that person, say, goes everyday to a physical office on the US and works there, then one may try to argue that it is really the US based branch who is paying him/her, which will be a violation. However, if s/he telecommutes from her home to India, then I really fail to see how can s/he be violating anything.

I am quite glad that I went to NY consulate to get my passport renewed. I handed it in 11AM on Tuesday and I picked up old and new passports on Wednesday at 4PM.

Chandu: I disagree with you. I think nobody complained on the website itself. People were unhappy with what it showed. The case status is incomplete and very abstract. I do not think anybody cared about navigation or buttons. Besides, it really they listened to the complaints, they would have fixed many more things before this thing. This would have been the last piece to do especially if they are having lack of workforce.

I agree and appreciate whatever IV is doing to improve the situation of people who is on the immigration Path Employment or Family.
But yesterday I was watching the media, none of the media even just marginally said about our EB immigration. back log. what steps IV has taken so far to get the media attention? it is very said media equating immigration = Illegal.
Please work towards that too.

Last year I had applied for Schengen business visa. I was able to get using Blue cross blue shield Letter saying about their international coverage.Call your insurance and ask them to fax coverage letter.
One more thing when I had applied for visa they just issued for specified days as it was mention in business invitation letter. Then I end up reapplying it to get for four months.

Do we need to send the original i 140 or just copy of I 140 is fine ? I mean do we need to send original I 140 to USCIS at any point in the 485 filling?

Please read the editorial from today's WSJ by John Boehner. We should adjust our thinking to this reality and try to eat the elephant one bite at a time. Trying to swallow anything all at once is certainly not John Boehner's idea of legislation.

Accordingly, there are several steps I believe the next speaker should be prepared to take immediately. Among them:
� No earmarks. Earmarks have become a symbol of a broken Washington, and an entire lobbying industry has been created around them. The speaker of the House shouldn't use the power of the office to raid the federal Treasury for pork-barrel projects. To the contrary, the speaker should be an advocate for ending the current earmark process, and should adhere to a personal no-earmarks policy that stands as an example for all members of Congress to follow.
I have maintained a no-earmarks policy throughout my time of service in Congress. I believe the House must adopt a moratorium on all earmarks as a signal of our commitment to ending business as usual in the spending process.
� Let Americans read bills before they are brought to a vote. The speaker of the House should not allow any bill to come to a vote that has not been posted publicly online for at least three days. Members of Congress and the American people must have the opportunity to read it.
Similarly, the speaker should insist that every bill include a clause citing where in the Constitution Congress is given the power to pass it. Bills that can't pass this test shouldn't get a vote. House Republicans' new governing agenda, "A Pledge to America," calls for the speaker to implement such reforms immediately.
� No more "comprehensive" bills. The next speaker should put an end to so-called comprehensive bills with thousands of pages of legislative text that make it easy to hide spending projects and job-killing policies. President Obama's massive "stimulus" and health-care bills, written behind closed doors with minimal public scrutiny, were the last straw for many Americans. The American people are not well-served by "comprehensive," and they are rightly suspicious of the adjective.
� No more bills written behind closed doors in the speaker's office. Bills should be written by legislators in committee in plain public view. Issues should be advanced one at a time, and the speaker should place an emphasis on smaller, more focused legislation that is properly scrutinized, constitutionally sound, and consistent with Americans' demand for a less-costly, less-intrusive government.
The speaker of the House, like all members of Congress, is a servant of the American people. The individual entrusted with that high honor and responsibility should act accordingly. A speaker's mission should not be to consolidate power in the speaker's office, but rather to ensure that elected officials uphold their oath to defend the Constitution and the American people we serve. If a speaker carries out that mission successfully, the result should be legislation that better reflects the considerable challenges we face as a nation.
The American people deserve a majority in Congress that listens to the people, focuses on their priorities and honors their demands for smaller, more accountable government. Accountability starts at the top, in the office of the speaker.

I believe in IV and its efforts.
I understand rally will help IV to demonstrate the people support.
I understand, in rally and after rally IV requests/lobbys law-makers to fix the broken immigration system system.
But can someone clarify me, what exactly IV is requesting law-makers?
1) Are we asking to re-capture visa numbers? (150K may not be sufficient for 750K applicants)
2) Remove country limit (still have to 5 years)
3) Increase the EB quota?
4) Clear all current pending Backlog labor/I-140/I-485/etc applications by 2009? This is temporary solution, but will solve the problem for now.
5) Another Immigration Reform bill for legal?
Having clear answers will help to gain support from my friends, colleagues and more and more people will be willing to join.
