I changed jobs after 5.5 years on my H1-B. When the new company filed for H1-transfer i got approval for 3 years based on the I-140 from the previous employer. In this case there was no need to apply for extension, while transferring the visa, I got 3 years. Send I-140 and Perm copies along with the H1-Transfer

This is how they could have replied. They should have started a 10 Rs. Education cess on every McDonald burger sold and every Pepsi/Coke bottle sold and every pizza sold by pizza hut & Dominos. Also, a minor correction to the answer on whether all have to wait for 5 years after GC to get naturalized...the only exceptions are military personnel *and* those who married US Citizens (marriage based GC's) - these categories have to wait only 3 years

It costs around 50k - 100k for a class action lawsuit. Pls collect the money and then think about it. U can look in the directory for Federal immigration litigation lawyers. There are a lot of them. The chance of winning is very less because green card is a benefit and not a job opportunity where you are being discriminated. If you can prove that you lost a job opportunity in United States because you do not have a green card and that job opportunity was given to another less retrogressed country immigrant, maybe you can fight in the supreme court that your civil rights have been violated but it is a long shot and would involve lot of money and 3 years minimum time frame.

amits: Swamy is correct, all documents that are required for H1B stamping, plus a copy of your 485 receipt notices. Just in case, VO asks you for the proof of AOS, which is very unlikely.

Ok, true. But I guess I'm still hung up on the "suggestion" (not rule, I suppose) to have more space in the direction the subject is heading or looking than to the rear of him/her/it - especially also not to center the subject. So, I'd still crop it the same, but I should have indicated better what I was thinking (not a tight crop, which is probably what it sounded like I meant).

Regarding my savings, i have been a full time employee of the company for which i work since i was on my CPT and now as i am on my OPT. Now the question to me is that since i have about 16k dollars in my saving account right now, should i sponsor them based on my OPT or should i just remit all the amount back to india back into my fathers account, and ask him to self sponsor him.
I have heard that the visa officer does ask you about the transactions that are fairly big and failry recent ones. Woudnt it create a further doubt if i transfer this savings back to my fathers account, and be in more problem.
Please Guys , if you can share your advice here, it would be really helpful for me here. I really dont want my parents visa to get rejected the third time.

I did my three years diploma (polytechnic) and three years engineering degree (B.E.) after that and I had @ eight years of experience while I had applied for GC through EB2 category. I had no problem in getting my I-140 approval; so far I have not received single rfe.

I applied for AINP on Feb-2009.That time my martial status is single.I got married on April-2009.I got my file number last week.If i want to include my spouse on my AINP process what i have to do?Did anyone faced this kind of situation?

Cheques were encashed for my and my wife's I-485, I-765, I-131 application.
I have received the receipt numbers for all from the back of the cheques.
When I access the receipt number for one of the I-765 Uscis shows the following update :
On September 19, 2007, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION and request that we waive the filing fee. We have waived the filing fee and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
