No, PN is when the Apple Push Notification server tells your phone you have a notification. The apps do not need to be running. Its suppose to save you battery life by not having multiple apps open all the time.
so then how will it work exactly when i turn all the PN's on? Will i get alerts in the form of a text message? or will it have a little number in the corner of the app??

Whether you like the military or you don't, if we want them to survive on the battlefield it's important that they have the best equipment possible. If in some case that were an Apple product, all the more power to them if they want to buy it.

Apple would benefit greatly by offering this form factor, in addition to its current model. Exactly what BlackBerry users rely on, the response would be fantastic.
That said, sadly Apple seems to have a true death grip on its narrow minded position of restricting the iPhone to one model only.

I support this if it's the next ipod sync cable but I'm with you if they have YET ANOTHER useless cable design that serves no point in the first place.
HDMI isn't even that big! There's even a micro version on pocket cameras for crying out loud.
What's wrong with blending Thunderbolt into the design of the USB 3.0? Less confusing for people and keeps the tech rolling. Everyone isn't gonna know what the difference is anyway. They only care that their thumb drive works with the new version and that it's faster.

So it's likely that a change will be made. If you were an Apple developer given the task to fix the problem, what would you do?

The Pentium5 is to the Pentium4 what the Pentium3 was to the Pentium2. It is not a new core. It sports a few new bells and whistles, twice the L2, the potential for a faster FSB, but it is still essentially the same chip as before.
This is not to say that the G4 will be able to keep up, or anything. :)
2 to 3 weeks till the dual 1.25's ship, and I'm still really temped to get one.

A few miles away is the home of the Blues, and in your town, the Reds make up the team affiliation of about 80% of the population, with the Blues making up the other 20%. There's a degree of rivalry between the teams.
The Reds want more people coming to their stadiums. They need increased revenue ticket sales. The only people to attract now are the Blues. The Blues obviously like your sport, otherwise they wouldn't have chosen a team in the first place, but they're not willing to consider, as yet, seeing Red team games. How do you attract Blue supporters?
If you're Apple's ad agency, your ad goes something like:
Blue: "I'm a blue player"
Red: "And I'm a red player"
Blue: "Duh. I can kick this ball, duh, look" (*kicks at ball several times, finally actually hitting it the 7th time*)

Thats why people buy expensive jewelery. Thats why people stay at 5 star hotels. People want to feel like they are better than everyone else or they've made better choices.
Not everyone of course. But there are alot.

I usually get the battery life as advertised by Apple. Though I turn the screen down to two or three bars (usually three since it often flickers at two). The Macbook is also mostly used for light computing such as web browsing with Flash disabled via the Flashblock add-on for Firefox, viewing documents in MS Word or Adobe Reader and rarely watching a DVD ripped to the hard drive (only when flying).
I could see people easily getting less battery life by leaving the brightness up, playing games or leaving Flash enabled when web browsing.

One company is launching something in April, the other in October.
When October stuff comes out it will fall behind in development once April from another manufacturer launches, then they take turns trying to outdo each other.
As long as they all work on their stuff , it's all good for the consumers.

i'll be getting more involved with this as soon as my electricity supplier has finally changed, should be a couple of weeks, my current love overcharging me for leaving things running 24/7.
At least you can change providers, at least where I live there is only one so I'm stuck with what I have to pay:(
